Imagine..

The Imagine stamp in the Stamp-it Australia line is one of the larger single stamps.  When I thought of how I was going to color it I decided that how others had given it a radiant solid treatment was not how I wanted to do it.  I was still deciding how I was going to do it even after I had stamped the image.  It helped when I decided what the base card color would be.

I chose a yellow base card and then decided Yellow and Green and to space to colors around the image.

Thanks for visiting....

Red Butterfly Card

Just like the Blue Butterfly Card, do the following steps...

Take a piece of card stock and cut down to size that you will use for your image.
Cut a piece of "Be Creative" adhesive sheet to match the size for the card stock.
Remove one side from the adhesive and apply to the card stock.
When you have decided on what image to use, remove the other protective sheet from the adhesive.
Place your image (I used a Peel Off). Then use one of the protective backing sheets that you removed to smooth out the Peel Off (Shiny side down so it will not stick to the adhesive.)
Apply the clear clear microfine glitter over the entire image, remove excess and then burnish the applied glitter with your finger so all the glitter is well "seated".
Select the colors of your alcohol pens (I use Spectrum Noir but Copics will also work). Using a light touch, color your image...since the microfine glitter is very fine and your also burnished it, it is very smooth and will NOT harm your pen nibs.
Assemble your card.....

Can you see the Red Body in the Center 2 Arms, 2 Legs and mini red wings...

The Butterfly in the corner is a 2 part mini die cut.

Enjoy...

Then I added Glitter Ritz Cool Highlights microfine glitter and burnished it with my finger. Colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol pens.

"Be Creative" adhesive, The Iris Peel Off and the Glitter Ritz glitter are all from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Spectrum Noir pens available from Crafter's Companion.

Play Day...

I played most of the afternoon on Thursday.  The other part of my Mini Die Cuts, Glitters, Peel Off Sticker and even some Black Velvet Sticker back sheets came.

I have lots of practicing to do before I really make complete cards with them.  Hope to do some things with the Peel Offs later in the day on Friday.

I have some glitter dust on my hands and probably on my face....ha ha ha

Here is what I worked on...

The Dragon has 2 layers, a light green on the bottom and a Bright Blue on top.  Had to use my Camera since my Scanner did't want to cooperate with them...

Have a Happy Weekend...

First Attempt of using my Splodge Mat and Masks

I have a new Blending Mat and some new Masks/Stencils from Splodge Away. They are located in the U.K. and they also have a Blog with a link to their Shop and there is also a Face Book Page and even some introductory videos on YouTube.

http://www.splodgeaway.com/      http://www.facebook.com/splodge.away?fref=ts

http://www.youtube.com/user/SplodgeAway  I have checked all 3 links.

I wanted to try a 3 Mountain Range effect but I guess I need more practice, practice, practice.  I made a mess of it so I started again. The Mat is a polymer material that has Micro Wells...Tom (Owner) uses Distress Inks...if he uses Black Soot, it is a tiny speck since it is so dark.

Since this was my first attempt and need lots more practice I was not going to share but some Facebook Friends said I should...Grin....So blame them.  Mounted on Blue Card.  The sentiment is from one of the new Stamp-It Australia stamp sets from Crafter's Companion.

Have a Happy Monday,

Robert

Glitter and Lace

I wasn't sure if all the parts would actually go together but am happy how it turned out.

Micro Fine Glitter on the base.  The image is from a stamp set from JustRite "Lace Medallion Labels" (15 clear stamps). I used Gold Detail Embossing powder. The two corners are Lace Tape.

I have been behind in making more projects and just got word that stamps that I ordered during CHA are actually on their way...Woo Hoo!

Happy Monday...
Remember that Monday is only a Day, not a Lifestyle...So...Smile.

I worked on some practice coloring with the Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens.  There is a cardstock designed to use with alcohol pens and I found that it makes a big difference in blending!!

I decided to share the 2 Old Guy images from Crafter's Companion....One has wild hair (I am shaved bald but I did have wild hair until it started to fall out......He is holding a Hedgehog and there is another one beside him....I love the little critters.....

Isn't he cute....Smile

The other Old Guy is dancing with his cane....I do use a cane but if I did that move I would be a prime example of how gravity works....

Again...Have a Happy Monday,
Robert

Sunday, January 6, 2013

Hope everyone had a lovely Sunday. It has been rainy and windy here today.

Today's card is "Story Time".  This is Popcorn the Bear.  When I saw the image from the back I knew I wanted to do it.  Most bears you see from the front....so I like to be a bit different.  Popcorn is also a character from Crafter's Companion.  I got the inspiration for coloring him from the Spectrum Noir Blog.

I hope you are doing well this first Sunday of 2013,

Enjoy,
Robert

Saturday 1-5-2013
10:55 p.m. (Eastern)

I have restarted my Blog.  It has been over a year since I had posted an entry.  I have cleared all previous entries.  I have a pinched nerve in my back.  It had gotten worse even after two shot treatments. Alot of the time it hurts so much that I can't sit up very long to either work on some art projects or even type.  I do have some new stamping projects from stamp sets from Crafter's Companion (USA). I also spent time (6 to 8 months) working on gathering Spectrum Noir Alcohol Pens.  Now I have been working on getting the refills for them since they are refillable...Smile.

The Christmas Truck card was one of the first images that I used the Spectrum Noir pens on.  As the weeks go on I hope that you see that spent time learning to blend.

Enjoy.....(feedback and comments Welcome.
